Time is short and with little means, he needs a miracle.

My Review:

I'm a big fan of reading about voyages to America. Maybe it's because we are all immigrants of the heart here in America's big melting pot. Or maybe it's because something about wanting a better life no matter what the cost that calls to each of us across the winds of time. This novel wasn't all about the voyage, but it was most certainly one of my favorite elements of the story. Add to it the drama of being sold off in return for personal gain, and you've got the kind of story that demands to be read.

The characters were well developed, with the hero and heroine having enough conflict between them to serve up grounds for some serious revenge. When Malcolm discovers his what he's done, it's a race against time and fate, with everything that matters on the line. How do you choose between your family and the one your heart loves? Taylor's first novel in the MacGregor Legacy series is a captivating, spell-binding and riveting journey from Scotland to South Carolina, and embodies the spirit of the times with all the elements of a perfect story. This novel is not to be missed, and I highly recommend it.
